2018
Appointment – Twelve members appointed to the poverty-reduction advisory council (Feb 2018) Member of the Premier’s Action Committee/Poverty Reduction Advisory Council (PEI) tasked with engaging with the public, community groups, not-for-profit and service organizations, leaders in private and corporate sectors, and provincial and municipal governments in order to develop the provincial action plan focusing on housing, food, education, employment, community capacity building and health in order to help reduce the impact of poverty in the province.
Award – New member of Bertha Wilson Honour Society – Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University.

Co-chair of the provincial Restorative Justice Committee comprised of various stakeholders from the PEI Department of Justice , the Crown, Legal Aid, Law Enforcement, Victims Services, Corrections and the Judiciary with the goal of developing Restorative Justice programming for both Indigenous and Non-Indigenous offenders consistent with the Federal Minister of Justice/Attorney General of Canada’s Criminal Justice Review and Reform initiatives (Bill C-75).
